The Lerato By Alveo Launched
The Lerato is the newest condominium project of Ayala's Alveo Land in Makati, the
hottest property market in the Philippines. Located in the district of Makati, to be
home to upscale urban achievers and their families, the idea is to make The Lerato
known as a creative hub that will attract artists and art aficionados with its lay-out
and facilities, its retail outlets and its proximity to the bohemian district of Reposo,
as well as other places of culture and the arts in cosmopolitan Makati.
Aidea was appointed to conceptualize the design for the envisioned three-tower
residential condominium with an expansive plaza and a surrounding retail strip.
This strip will feature specialty restaurants, and interior design and art studios.
The plaza will be designed as a venue for public art performances, and the garden's
feature pocket areas designed for informal groupings.
Aidea's design follows its usual thrust and Alveo's direction—that of gearing the
development towards sustainability. Sustainable architecture seeks to minimize the
negative environmental impact of buildings by enhancing efficiency and moderation
in the use of materials, energy, and development of space. This term is used to
describe an energy and ecologically conscious approach to the design of the built
environment.
