Aidea earns place in BD's World Architecture Top 100 List
Aidea Philippines, Inc. has been ranked 86 in the BD World Architecture (WA) Top 100 this year,
the only Philippine architectural company to make it to the list. The BD World Architecture Top
100 is a list of the world's largest architectural firms. Aidea jumped from the No. 103 spot in
2008 to No. 86 by the end of 2009, as listed in the January 2010 edition of Building Design (BD),
a London-based communications company exclusively devoted to architecture.
BD commissioned research agency Camargue to survey more than 2,000 firms worldwide. The WA 100
is described as "the definitive survey in its field." Firms are evaluated and ranked based on
presence in the sector and region, as well as the number of architects employed. BD cited Aidea
for its ability to weather the economic storm through its specialization in "hospitality, high-rise
residential, offices, retail and corporate fit-out sectors."
In 2009, Aidea completed projects in Rome and Dubai. But this year, its growth has come from a
shift to more work in the Philippines which will continue to contribute the lion's share of its
turnover in 2010.
Aidea, which Tolentino founded in 2004, is an all-Filipino company that provides its clients a range
