Aidea Commissioned to Design CEPALCO Headquarters
Aidea Philippines Inc. has been appointed to do the architectural design for the
new CEPALCO Main Corporate Headquarters in Cagayan de Oro City. The Cagayan Electric
Power and Light Company, Inc. (CEPALCO) is the third largest electric distribution
company in the Philippines. The company's growth in energy consumption has consistently
been among the highest in the country. Modern facilities and equipment and an efficient
service network have made CEPALCO one of the most reliable electric service companies
in the country.
The new 4-storey CEPALCO Headquarters will sit on an 86,100 sq. ft. lot in Brgy.
Kauswagan and will have a floor area of 53,000 sq. ft. for its offices. It will house
the main office facilities including conference rooms, executive lounge, library, data
center and circulation space. It will also have a Canteen with a seating capacity of 30
to 50 people, and a security office.
CEPALCO has tasked Aidea to make the new CEPALCO Headquarters the most sustainable
building in the country, with the highest possible LEED rating of Platinum. The building
is targeted for completion by 2012.
